I’ve been thinking about making homemade treats for my two cats instead of buying commercial options. They really enjoy the DIY toys I’ve created for them, so I figured this could be a fun experiment too! I’ve come across a few recipes online, but I’m eager to hear what’s worked for others.

Do any of you have favorite recipes that your cats absolutely love? Also, are there any ingredients I should steer clear of? It would be great to make something safe for all of my roommates’ pets as well.

What has your experience been with homemade cat treats? Any tips for a newbie like me?

I’ve made some simple tuna treats before that my cats went wild for! Just blend a can of tuna with some flour and egg, then bake. Watch out for things like onion and garlic since those can be toxic for cats. Good luck with your experiment!
