Has anyone here had success with making their own dog toys? I’m curious about which materials worked best for you and if there are specific designs your dogs love. Also, are there any safety concerns we should keep in mind while crafting these toys? Looking forward to hearing your tips and tricks!

I’ve made a couple of tug toys from old socks, and my dog loves them way more than any store-bought ones. Just cut off the toe and braid them together, and he’s in heaven. As for safety, I would recommend avoiding anything with small parts that can be chewed off or swallowed.

I’ve made a simple puzzle toy using a muffin tin and some tennis balls. Just place treats in the cups and cover them with the balls. My dog loves figuring it out! Just make sure the balls aren’t too small to avoid choking hazards.
