Best Dog Toys for Small Apartments: What Works?

Living in a small apartment in Chicago with my pup definitely has its challenges, particularly when it’s time to play. I’ve found that some toys can take up too much space and are a pain to store. But my dog needs to chew and play, so I really want to find the right toys that keep him entertained while keeping my living area neat.

I’ve been thinking about what makes a toy suitable for smaller spaces. Durability is key, but size and versatility matter too. I’ve tried smaller balls and rope toys, but they don’t seem to capture his attention for long. I’m also considering interactive toys that don’t require a lot of room to play.

What types of toys have you found to work best in small living areas? Are there any specific brands or styles that your dogs can’t get enough of? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I’ve had a pretty good experience with puzzle toys for my dog in our small apartment. They keep him engaged for way longer than a simple ball or rope. I really like the Outward Hound Hide-A-Squirrel toy—it’s compact and can fit in a cupboard when we’re done playing. Another plus is the mental stimulation it offers!
