Best Feeding Practices for Bearded Dragons

Feeding bearded dragons can be quite a puzzle, especially when it comes to balancing their diet. It’s crucial to include the right mix of insects and greens to ensure they receive all the necessary nutrients. Understanding which insects are most beneficial can significantly impact their health.

Have you tried different brands of insect supplements or live feeders? I’m curious about how these choices have affected your dragon’s energy levels and overall health. Additionally, what types of vegetables do your dragons seem to enjoy the most? Any advice on encouraging them to eat more greens would be really appreciated!

My bearded dragon loves collard greens and dandelion leaves, but I had a tough time getting him to eat veggies at first. I mixed small pieces of greens with his favorite bugs—like crickets—and that helped a lot. Also, try offering the veggies in different textures; sometimes they just need a little variety to get interested!

I’ve found that my bearded dragon really loves collard greens and dandelion leaves. As for insects, I usually stick to crickets and superworms, but I’ve noticed she gets a real boost in energy with the occasional hornworm. To get her to eat more greens, I sometimes sprinkle a little calcium powder on top, and that seems to help!
