Crate training in a small apartment can definitely present some unique challenges. With limited space, it’s important to choose a location for the crate that feels secure and comfortable for your dog. I’m interested to hear from anyone who has successfully crate trained their pup in a similar setting.
What techniques or routines did you find effective? Did you encounter problems with noise or separation anxiety? Balancing a structured training routine with your furry friend’s happiness in a cozy space must be tricky. I’d love to hear your tips or share your experiences!
I crated my dog in a small studio for a few months and found that keeping the crate near my bed helped a lot. He settled down quicker knowing I was close by. I also used some calming music and made a little routine around feeding and playtime to ease the anxiety. Definitely had some noise issues at first, but he got used to it after a week or so.
I crate trained my dog in a small studio and it was a bit of a juggling act! I put the crate by my bed so he felt close to me, and I used a mix of treats and short sessions at first. He did have some anxiety at night but adding a soft blanket helped a lot. Just gotta be patient, I guess!
