Creative DIY Toys for Cats and Dogs

Finding toys that work for both cats and dogs can be challenging. Each pet has their own unique play style, and it’s important to accommodate both. Lately, I’ve been diving into the world of DIY pet toys, and it’s turned out to be a delightful project!

Using items from around the house has not only saved some cash but also kept my pets entertained for hours. Simple materials like cardboard boxes, old t-shirts, and empty plastic bottles can easily be transformed into fun toys. Has anyone else tried making their own pet toys? What materials have you found to be the most successful for your furry companions?

I tried making a fishing pole toy for my cat with a long stick and some feathers tied on the end. She loves chasing it around! It only cost me a couple of bucks, and it definitely beats the pricey store-bought toys.

I’ve made some great toys using toilet paper rolls stuffed with treats for my dogs and a simple string with a feather attached for my cat. They both go nuts for them! Just be sure to supervise playtime, especially with anything that could be chewed apart. What other materials have you experimented with?
