I recently found myself curious about whether goldfish have teeth. Surprisingly, they don’t have teeth in the way we usually think of them, like those of dogs or cats. Instead, goldfish have unique structures called pharyngeal teeth located in their throats. These specialized features help them grind their food, especially those floating flakes that can be a bit tricky to catch!
As a pet owner in a household with multiple animals, I’ve seen plenty of amusing antics, but my goldfish always manage to amaze me with their feeding behavior. Watching them eat is oddly satisfying, especially knowing they have these little structures to help them. It’s a great reminder of the diversity in our pets, even those we might overlook.
