In a lively home with pets of all kinds, finding ways to keep them entertained can be quite the task. I’ve discovered that making DIY toys is a fantastic solution—it’s budget-friendly and lets me tailor toys to fit each pet’s personality and play habits. Plus, it’s a creative project that the whole family can enjoy together!
One of my favorite DIY creations is a puzzle toy made from a cardboard box and some old towels. Simply cut some holes in the box, fill it with treats and shredded towels, and let your pets figure out how to get the goodies. This activity not only keeps them busy but also provides great mental stimulation. I’ve seen my dogs and cats really engage with this, and it’s wonderful to watch them problem-solve.
