How do you choose the best dog toys for enrichment?

Choosing the right toys for our dogs can be quite a challenge, especially if we want to keep them happy and engaged. With so many options available, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Recently, I noticed my dog has lost interest in some of his old toys, and I’m on the lookout for new ones that can really enhance his daily playtime and encourage good behavior.

When I pick out toys, I try to focus on durability, safety, and mental stimulation. Interactive toys seem promising for keeping him mentally engaged, but I’m not sure if they’ll hold his interest in the long run. Have any of you found specific types of toys that your dogs absolutely adore? Or have you purchased toys that looked great but didn’t work out? What do you look for when selecting toys for your pups?

I’ve found that rotating toys really helps keep my dog interested. Instead of buying new ones all the time, I’ll hide some of the older ones for a few weeks, then switch them back in. It’s like they’re brand new again! Also, puzzle toys can be hit or miss—some dogs love them, while others might just chew them up without playing.

I’ve had good luck with puzzle toys that you can stuff treats in. My dog goes nuts for those and it keeps him busy for a while. Just make sure to check how tough they are—some can get chewed up pretty quick!
