I’ve always used tap water for my small aquarium, but I’ve heard some folks suggest switching to purified water. I’m wondering if that would be a good idea or if it might cause problems for my fish.
I get that purified water is free from chlorine and other chemicals, which sounds great. However, could it also be missing essential minerals that fish need? On top of that, how often should I change the water, and would using purified water affect that schedule?
