Share Your Best DIY Cat Toys: What Works for Your Feline Friends?

As cat parents, we all want to keep our furry companions entertained without spending a fortune. While there are so many store-bought toys available, I’ve found that making DIY toys not only saves money but also adds a personal touch that my cat seems to love.

I’ve been trying out various DIY toys lately, ranging from simple cardboard scratchers to feather wands crafted from repurposed items. Some of these have been a big hit, while others have just sat unused in the corner. What DIY toys have you made that truly engage your cats? Are there specific materials or designs you’ve discovered that work particularly well?

I’d love to hear your stories and pick up some new ideas!

I made a crumpled paper ball with a bit of catnip inside, and my cat goes absolutely nuts for it! Simple but she never gets tired of chasing it around the house. Also, those sock toys filled with catnip are a hit too—super easy and they love them!
