What bedding do you recommend for small pets?

Choosing the right bedding for small pets can significantly impact their comfort and well-being. With various options available, such as aspen shavings, paper-based materials, and more, it can be challenging to find the best fit. Some pets might prefer a softer bedding, while others may benefit from more absorbent materials that help keep their space dry.

I’ve had success with a few types of bedding for my pets, but I’d love to hear from others in the community. What bedding materials do your small pets seem to love? Are there any brands you’ve tried that you would recommend steering clear of? Your insights would be really helpful!

For my little hamster, I’ve found that the paper-based bedding works wonders. It’s super absorbent and much softer than shavings, which he seems to prefer. I’ve tried a few brands, but the ones labeled as “dust-free” really make a difference—no sneezing fits!

I’ve had good luck with fleece liners for my guinea pigs—they’re soft and super easy to wash! Have you tried using any reusable bedding options? It can save a ton of money in the long run.
