Many people think cats view the world solely in shades of gray, but research shows that’s not entirely true. Cats can perceive a limited range of colors, primarily distinguishing between blues and yellows. However, their ability to see reds and greens is quite restricted.

This raises an interesting question about how color influences our cats’ environment. If you have vibrant toys or accessories for your kitty, do you think the color plays a role in their attraction to those items? I’ve definitely noticed that my cat seems to favor blue and yellow toys over any other colors. But honestly, it might also just be the way they move—she’s way more into something that wiggles than the color it is! Have you tried using different textures along with the colors? That might make a difference too.
