What DIY toys are best for reptiles?

Keeping reptiles entertained can be quite the challenge! While there are plenty of commercial toys available, DIY options can be just as engaging and can sometimes be more affordable.

Many people have come up with creative ideas using materials like cardboard, wood, and safe plants. What DIY projects have you tried that really capture your reptile’s interest?

Also, are there any materials you’ve found to be unsafe, or features that seem to keep them engaged longer? I’d love to hear about your go-to DIY toys and any tips for making them at home!

I’ve made some simple climbing structures out of cardboard and wood, and my gecko loves them! Just be careful with any paint or glue—stick with untreated materials. A little bit of safe live plant mixed in really seems to keep them interested too. Have you tried adding hiding spots? That always gets my reptiles exploring!
