What enrichment activities do your aquarium pets enjoy?

Keeping fish and other aquatic pets engaged can be tricky. Different species have unique preferences when it comes to enrichment, and what excites one may not appeal to another. For example, some bettas thrive with plant decorations that offer hiding spots, while goldfish often favor open spaces for swimming freely.

What enrichment activities have you found successful for your aquatic pets? Are there any specific toys or DIY projects that have captured their interest? Let’s share our experiences and compile a list of effective strategies to enhance our pets’ environments!

My betta loves all those little floating plants! I just use some cheap ones from the dollar store, and he spends hours swimming through them. I’ve also noticed he goes nuts for a simple mirror too – it really seems to entertain him. What kind of plants have you found work best?

I’ve found my corydoras love scavenging for food around caves and decor—keeps them super active. I also added marbles at the bottom for them to play with; it gets them exploring more. Definitely agree that having the right setup makes a huge difference!
