Which fish can coexist peacefully with turtles in a tank?

Creating a peaceful aquarium can be challenging, especially when you’re mixing turtles and fish. I’ve been trying to set up a nice environment for my turtle along with a few fish, but I’m unsure which species can actually live together without any conflicts.

I’ve heard that larger fish, like koi or goldfish, tend to do better with turtles, while smaller fish might end up as snacks. Additionally, I’m worried about the differences in water quality and temperature that could make things more complicated.

Has anyone successfully kept specific fish breeds alongside their turtles? What has your experience been like in maintaining a calm tank? Any tips on how to help both thrive together?

I’ve read that larger fish like cichlids can work, but they’re pretty aggressive, so it might not be the best combo. A friend had some guppies, and they didn’t last long with her turtle. Just be careful about the size difference and watch the water conditions closely!
