Why are my fish hiding in the aquarium?

Lately, I’ve noticed that several of my fish are hiding more than they used to. This change is puzzling, especially since they were quite social and active before. I have a mix of species, each with its own personality, but now the usually shy ones seem even more stressed.

I’ve taken steps like checking the water parameters, adding new plants for hiding spots, and adjusting the lighting, yet they still prefer to stick to the corners. Has anyone else faced a similar situation? What strategies did you use to help your fish feel more comfortable and come out more often? Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked if there’s any new stressors in the environment, like loud noises or changes in household activity? Sometimes even small things can freak them out. Maybe consider adding a bit more flow or movement to the water if they like that sort of thing! What types of fish do you have?
