Why does my cat sound congested when breathing?

Lately, I’ve noticed that my cat has been making some wheezy sounds while breathing, which is quite concerning. She seems to be her usual self—eating, playing, and cuddling without any issues. Still, those strange noises really stand out.

Could this be due to allergies, a minor cold, or something more serious? I’m trying to figure out if a trip to the vet is necessary or if there are any home remedies that could help. Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms with their cats? What did you do, and what worked for you?

My cat had a similar issue, and it turned out to be allergies from dust or pollen. We started using an air purifier, which really seemed to help. Have you noticed any specific triggers that make the sounds worse?

My cat had similar wheezing a while back, and it turned out to be allergies! I started using an air purifier in the room and it really helped. Just keep an eye on her, but I’d definitely recommend a vet visit if the sounds persist or get worse.
